Where do you live?

If in NYC, please specify which neighborhood.

Share a little more about your relationship to your neighborhood.

How long have you lived there? Do you plan to stay a while? Are you involved in any local organizations? Why or why not?

Describe your personal identity + presentation in as much detail as you are comfortable / willing.

We've learned that the host's presentation significantly impacts who feels comfortable stopping for tea. With this in mind, we'll be prioritizing femme + BIPOC folks, especially those who belong to the same identity groups which are locally prevalent.

List all languages you speak, along with your proficiency level (e.g. English - Fluent, Spanish - Proficient, etc.).

Do you create art of any kind? Please tell!

Creating art in collaboration with our community (mostly via zines) is becoming an increasingly important aspect of The Tea Stand!

Now, some Tea Stand related questions...

Briefly describe your relationship with The Tea Stand (when we met, attending events, volunteering, etc.)

Briefly describe your experience holding space for others (hosting events, working in service, education, etc.).

Do you have any experience with de-escalation / conflict mediation? Are you prepared for the possibility of interacting with NYPD?

We've only had a couple negative interactions with neighbors/police over the past 3+ years!

Please take a moment to review our manifesto. Do we share values, especially when it comes to trust & liberation?

Logistics!

As of Sep 2026, these are our regular Tea Stand events for which we're looking for alternate hosts. Please check which you'd be interested in helping out with.

Expand a little on the above -- which days/parks are most convenient for you? Roughly how frequently are you interested in hosting?

We're also interested in serving free tea in new places and spaces! Please check any of the below which interest you.

Are there other places you'd be interested in hosting Tea Stands? Think big here!

Hosting a Tea Stand requires heavy lifting in order to transport all the equipment. Is that something you're able to do?

Please also indicate whether you have access to a bike and if you're comfortable biking with 20+ pounds of equipment on its rack (not a requirement!).

What's your favorite type of tea? 🍵🍵🍵

Please share anything else you'd like us to know! This could be accessibility concerns, general questions, a tea fun fact, etc.
