3D Western is a student-led organization under the Morrissette team that manages and oversees the Sabourin and Digital Maker Spaces in the Ronald D. Schmeichel Building for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Over the past year, the Maker Spaces have helped undergraduate and graduate students, professors and entrepreneurs alike with over 60 recreation, prototyping and engineering projects. We have been building software services to make our resources even more accessible for everyone to create things at Western.
We are incredibly proud of our team's achievement for passing Ivey IT's security audit on the first try, and will start building in the summer to 1) fully deploy our services for use in the fall, 2) build infrastructure for our organization to enable 40+ volunteers (Maker Mentors) to operate and open the Maker Spaces with us for general walk ins and using our facilities during the next school year.
We are looking for people with technical foundations in web development and AI agents to build and ship with us. This form will take ~20 mins to fill out.
This will not affect your application.
Include links (GitHub, deployed) to this project if possible; bonus if it involves using the following: (Tailwind)CSS, HTML, JS, ReactJS, Typescript, Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, SQL(MariaDB), AWS(EC2/S3), Python(FastAPI) and any experience with AI agents. Extra bonus if it involves 3D printing. If you do not have technical projects outside of class, telling us about something you are passionate about or worked on is also fine.
