What do I say?

Do NOT say your name, your business name, or where you're located. We will overlay that information as text. ❌ WRONG: "Hi, I'm Jane from Acme Cosmetics in Nanaimo BC. We make _____..." ✅ RIGHT: "We make _____..." or "I sell ___..." or "I paint..." etc. then talk about why you're unique, or how the tariffs have affected your business. Also, your video will have a higher likelihood of being selected if you avoid overly promotional language like marketing taglines.

Video Rules

✔︎ Must be shorter than ten seconds

✔︎ Have a person (face shown) speaking about your business

✔︎ Be physically holding at least one tariffed product for sale. If you’re unable to hold it, have it in the background and refer to it.

✔︎ Shoot in vertical orientation ✔︎ Speak loudly and be close to the camera

✔︎ No overlaid text

✔︎ Have no music whatsoever, even quietly in the background

PRO TIP: The bottom third of the video will be covered over with your store's information and captioning, so don't put anything important down there.
