Creators' Fund+ Mentor Call Out

We are seeking mentors to offer practical career support and guidance to successful Creators’ Fund+ awardees from across Scotland’s creative and artistic professional industries. This includes people from Black and POC communities and our allies. We also have alternative versions of this form available. If needed, please email us at hello@weareherescotland.com If you would prefer, you can apply using videos (recorded with your phone), audio recordings, or any format which may be accessible to you, you can upload these via the application form below or email us via the email address above.

Audio and video applications: If you'd prefer to apply by audio or video instead of writing, here's what you need to know: * Keep it to 5-10 minutes maximum

* Cover the main questions: your creative practice, your goals for the next 12 months, how you'd use the funding, and what mentoring support you need
* Audio files: MP3 or WAV preferred, but any common format is fine
* Video files: MP4 or MOV preferred, but any common format is fine
* For large files, you can share a link (Google Drive, WeTransfer, Dropbox) rather than uploading directly
* Don't worry about production quality - as long as we can hear and understand you clearly, that's all that matters

Mentors are paid £44 per hour (Scottish Artist Union rates). Each awardee receives up to 20 hours of mentoring, and we may match them with one or two mentors depending on their needs. What professional skills can you offer as part of your role?

This could include creative skills (e.g. production, performance, craft) or business skills (e.g. pricing, contracts, marketing, funding applications, financial planning, coaching). You don't need to list everything - just the areas where you feel confident supporting someone else.

Please tell us why you're interested in mentoring?

A few sentences is fine. We're interested in what draws you to this work and what you'd hope to bring to a mentoring relationship.

Do you have any support or access needs?

Let us know if there's anything we can do to support you in your role as a mentor. This might include flexible scheduling, communication preferences, access requirements for in-person meetings, or anything else. If you're not sure, leave this blank and we can discuss it later.
