Project Finding Calcutta Missionary Internship

Location: Dallas, TX

Dates: May 25 – July 19 (8 weeks)

Mission Trip to India: July 19 – Aug 3 (optional)

Position Mission

Project Finding Calcutta exists to help individuals encounter Christ in the poor—right where they are—through prayer, service, and community. Rooted in the spirituality of Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity, our summer missionary internship program forms college students/recent grads to lead lives of radical discipleship and love in service to “the poorest of the poor.”

Position Responsibilities

- Daily Mission & Service: Serve the “poorest of the poor” of  Dallas, including the homeless, elderly, sick, and lonely, engaging regularly with the Missionaries of Charity sisters in hands-on corporal works of mercy.

- Volunteer Leadership: Mentor and guide volunteers at weekly Service Saturdays at rotating church sites across DFW.

- Program Planning & Execution: Support and execute key PFC events and initiatives such as Summer Camp for Teens, special service events, awareness campaigns, etc.

- Spiritual Formation & Community Life: Participate in ongoing formation in Catholic Social Teaching, missionary spirituality, and discernment. Engage in daily prayer, regular Mass, and communal living with other missionaries. 

Costs & Benefits

Housing & meals will be provided. Cost of the internship is $1600 (scholarships are available for those who cannot afford). We will also help you fundraise for the mission trip to Calcutta (optional) if you would like to go after the internship!
