How your Shopify sales get into your books

About 10 minutes. Please describe real events, not opinions. Short answers are fine, and "never happened" is a useful answer too.

I'm researching this problem to decide whether to build a product. Nothing is for sale here. I'm Hieu Tran; I use AI tools to help with this research, including drafting messages and organising responses. Answers are kept private and only shared in anonymised form.

Think of the last time your Shopify sales didn't land correctly in QuickBooks or Xero: missing or duplicated orders, wrong accounts, tax or fees, or a forced switch to a new connector. What happened, and how did you find out?

What did it cost: hours of clean-up, a bookkeeper's bill, a late month-end, a sales tax or VAT return?

How do you check today that Shopify and your books agree? Walk through what you do at month-end.

Which connectors or services have you used or paid for (Intuit's connector, OneSaaS, Amaka, A2X, Link My Books, MyWorks, Synder, a bookkeeper)? Why did you keep or drop them?
