BrightWard Feedback Questionnaire

Thank you for testing the BrightWard MVP. Your feedback will directly shape how this tool is developed for the broader public. This questionnaire focuses on the two areas where we need the most insight: how you managed keywords, and whether the history view was actually useful.
Please be as honest and critical as possible. We need to know where the tool creates friction or fails to meet your expectations.
Section 1: Keyword Management
The tool relies on users building and maintaining their own keyword lists over time. We need to understand how realistic this expectation is.

When you first installed the tool, how did you decide which keywords to add?(e.g., Did you use terms you already knew? Did you search for lists online? Did you struggle to think of any?)

Did you add new keywords during the testing period? If so, what prompted you to add them?(e.g., You saw something concerning that wasn't flagged, you read an article, etc.)

The tool expects you to build a custom database over time. How burdensome did this feel?

What would make managing keywords easier for you?(e.g., Suggested keyword packs by age group, prompts to add a keyword when you manually hide a post, etc.)

Section 2: The History View and Incident Logging

The history view is designed to help you track patterns of concerning content before deciding whether to escalate or report them.

Did the tool log any incidents during your testing period?

When you reviewed the logged incidents in the History View, did the information provided help you understand the context of the flagged content?

What did you do with the logged incidents?(e.g., Just reviewed them, used the Action Center to report them, discussed them with someone, ignored them.)

The History View currently lists incidents chronologically. What is missing that would help you identify patterns or decide when to take action? What might make the history view easier to navigate and manage? (e.g., Grouping by username, grouping by keyword, a summary dashboard, alerts when a threshold is reached.)

Did you use the status assignment feature (e.g., marking an incident as "Report Drafted" or "Reported")? Why or why not?

Section 3: General Experience and Trust

Did the disclaimers and the "Safety Guides" section clearly explain what the tool can and cannot do?

Based on your experience, what is the single biggest gap between what this tool currently does and what a parent or guardian actually needs?

Would you recommend this tool in its current state to a parent who is concerned about digital safety? Why or why not?

Thank you for your time and expertise!
