Let’s make Milwaukee an Urban Bird Treaty City!

An Urban Bird Treaty City is a national designation recognizing communities that partner with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and commit to ongoing, local action for birds. This collaborative initiative works to protect, restore, and enhance habitats while reducing threats like window collisions, light pollution, and habitat loss.

We are urging local lawmakers to back this initiative and sign a letter of support for Milwaukee to become an Urban Bird Treaty City.
If you want to learn more about the support required to apply, contact Joanna Demas, the Director of  Conservation and Partnerships at the Lake Michigan Bird Observatory, at jdemas@lmbo.org.
