2026 - 2027 South Bay Chinese School Registration (Full Year)

Update (7/12/2026): Early bird discount has been extended to 7/31/2026 from 7/15/2026!
This registration form is for our full-year Chinese School program. "Default Rotation” WILL NOT be offered for the 2026-2027 academic year.  Instead, the full list of 3rd period electives for SBCS students is listed below:
• Chinese Calligraphy & Painting: As of 7/12/2026, students must be in at least 3rd grade to enroll in this class • Chinese Children’s Choir (Mandarin Only): For students 6 years old and up • Chinese Chess & Short Moral Stories (Mandarin Only): Students of all ages are welcome • Guzheng: This 3rd period classes will be taught by a TA, not Kitty Lai • Pipa: Students of all ages are welcome. This class will be taught by Jennifer Jing • Taiwanese Hokkien: Students of all ages are welcome • Tutoring - Cantonese: Students of all ages are welcome • Tutoring - Mandarin: For students K-2nd grade • Tutoring - Mandarin Writing and Comprehension: For students 3rd grade and up • Wing Chun Kung Fu: For students 5 years old and up
If you are registering for our community cultural classes such as Guzheng, Taiwanese Hokkien (adults and children), Taichi, and Wing Chun Kung Fu, enrollment for these classes have not opened yet. Please stay tuned!

Tuition

➡️ Early Bird Discount: We are pleased to offer a $100 discount per student to families that register AND pay tuition by 7/31/2026.

Our Tuition:

1) Early Bird (by 7/30/2026): $850 flat fee + $45 processing fee + refundable $160 volunteer deposit

2) Regular Registration: $950 flat fee + $45 processing fee + refundable $160 volunteer deposit

Volunteer Requirements & Fees

South Bay Chinese School is a volunteer and parent run organization. Parents are required to complete at least 2 volunteer activities and attend at least 2 out of 3 parent association (PA) meetings during the academic year. If you are unable to attend a PA meeting, you can makeup each missed PA meeting by attending a board meeting.
➡️ Service Participation (SP) Deposit: All families will be required to pay a refundable $160 deposit (1 deposit per family). Teachers are exempt from the SP deposit. The $160 Service Participation Deposit will be refunded to you at the end of the school year if you have completed all the PA meeting & volunteer activity requirements.

We offer several convenient payment options with Check, Venmo, Zelle, and credit card.

1) Credit Card: Available now as of 7/12/2026

2) Check, Venmo and Zelle: For payments made via Check, Venmo or Zelle, our treasurer will send an invoice with detailed payment instructions.  Registration is NOT considered complete until the Check, Venmo or Zelle payment has been received and confirmed by our Treasurer.
