We bring the same rigour behind our journalism and research to every client account, and we operate in Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, and beyond.

About the Role

You will work directly with our CEO and our South Africa associate on advisory accounts. That means reputation management, media relations, creator campaigns, and research-led reporting for consumer brands operating in several African markets. You will start on an existing multi-market account, help us deliver new advisory work as it comes in, and grow into owning client accounts as the practice expands.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor media and social conversation across markets and turn it into clear sentiment and coverage reports

- Draft press releases, pitch journalists, and secure coverage in Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, and beyond

- Coordinate creator and influencer activations, from briefs to timing to performance reporting

- Support crisis response: rapid situation reports, media complaints, and holding statements

- Produce monthly client reports that a busy executive can read in five minutes

- Research markets, competitors, and audiences to inform proposals and strategy for new clients

- Help build the tools, templates, and processes that let Communiqué Advisory take on more clients

Who you are

- Demonstrated experience in research, research management, policy, consulting, or intelligence

- Strong command of qualitative, quantitative, and desk research methodologies, and the judgment to know when each applies

- A track record of leading or contributing significantly to published research projects

- The ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insight for people who will not read the methodology section

- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Experience developing research proposals, funding applications, or commercial research opportunities is a strong advantage

- Working knowledge of Africa’s creative economy, media, culture, or technology sectors is desirable

- Able to work independently and hold your own priorities within a remote team.

What we Offer

- Direct exposure to senior client work across several African markets from day one

- Close mentorship from a CEO with a background at Rest of World, TechCabal, and Business Insider Africa

- A clear path to owning accounts as Communiqué Advisory grows

- Access to Communiqué's research, editorial, and events network

Compensation & Benefits

As a startup, we offer a fixed salary of N4.8 million annually (gross). Our benefits include:

- Flexible working arrangements

- Internet subscription up to N20,000 per month, and co-working space allowance up to ₦20,000

- Annual performance bonus
