Making a Home in Jaipur: A collaborative zine by 4am

What does it mean to make a home in a city?.

As Jaipur turns 300, we want to explore this idea through a printed zine featuring 15 designers from Jaipur, each bringing their own perspective and graphic language to the idea of making a home here.

Here's what we're thinking:

The idea: A collection of 15 different interpretations of what making a home in Jaipur means. This isn't about documenting the city's landmarks or history, but about the personal connections, experiences and little things that make it feel like home.
The collaboration: We're inviting 15 designers from Jaipur to contribute their own original design, illustration, typography, photography, or any other visual interpretation of the theme. We want everyone to bring their own way of seeing and making.
The format: Each designer will have one A5 spread in the zine, with their name credited alongside their work.
The blue: Every contribution needs to include blue somewhere. It's the colour of 4am, and the one visual thread running through all 15 spreads. What you do with it is entirely up to you :)
The creative freedom: We don't want everyone to make work that looks alike. What matters is that there's a thought, a story or a reason behind your interpretation, expressed through your own graphic language.
The print: 4am will bring the contributions together and handle the design coordination and printing of the final zine, so the individual spreads become one collective publication.
