Pitching for TV: How to Turn Every Meeting into a Job Opportunity

In this 1-day seminar, the first half will go over the basics of how to construct a strong pitch from how to convey your idea in the most "gettable" log-line; assembling a complementary pitch deck; answering the "why you" and "why now" questions; as well as keeping all of this contained in a speedy 15 minute presentation (or less!).

Then, the second half will focus on YOU: How do you inject your POV from minute-1 of stepping into the room? How do you center YOUR STORY both as a connection to your pitch idea but to your hireability? And most importantly -- how do you present YOURSELF as someone worthy of working with this studio over and over again?

Your instructor JULIA PRESCOTT is an Annie-nominated writer who's charted a 15+ year writing career in both animation and live-action; TV and features. She's sold projects to studios like Disney and Warner Bros; been on the development side at studios like Nick, Netflix, and Hasbro; and recently became a Fellow in the inaugural cohort of Rideback RISE, founded by Dan Lin (Chairman of Netflix Films).
