I'll still be "getting ready" to do the big thing I keep postponing

My team will still be coming to me for everything

I'll still be this busy and no further ahead

I moved on to something new before it was finished

I kept waiting until I had more clarity or better timing

I handed it off and had to take it back when it came in wrong

Something more urgent kept bumping it down the list

Rarely — I tend to chase the most interesting thing, not the most important

Not often — I gravitate toward easier tasks when the important ones feel uncertain

It shifts constantly based on what my team needs from me

Almost never — urgency always wins over importance

I intend to document things but there's always something more pressing

I've been planning to build a proper documentation system for a while now

Some things are documented but they're not followed consistently

Most of it lives in my head — people know to just ask me

A few things — I got excited about something new

The same thing I said last week, if I'm being honest

Managing what's slipping through the cracks on my team

Start building a fix, get partway through, find a new problem, go solve that instead

Research the right solution for a while before doing anything

Try to get someone on my team to handle it, then end up doing it myself

Add it to the list and deal with it when I can't avoid it anymore

Honestly — I lose track of some of them when something new grabs my attention

Eventually, slowly, after a lot of deliberation

My team delivers something, but I end up editing or redoing a significant portion

In a rush, at the last minute, usually by me

Someone who keeps track of everything I've committed to and holds me to it

Someone who helps me stop overthinking and actually start

Someone who builds the systems and processes my team can work inside

Someone who helps me get out of the weeds so I can focus on what actually matters

I move on to the next thing before the current one is finished

I'm not sure the timing or approach is right, so I wait

The people I've delegated to need more direction than I have capacity to give

There's always something more urgent than the important stuff

Busy starting things — I always have momentum at the beginning

Busy thinking and planning — I'm working, just not always executing

Busy being needed — my team depends on me for too many things

Busy reacting — I'm in motion all day but moving forward on the wrong things

I'd actually finish things instead of starting new ones

I'd stop second-guessing myself and just execute

My team would know what to do without asking me

I'd stop spending energy deciding what to work on and just work

I'm always starting things. I just never finish them.

I keep trying to delegate and it keeps not working.
