a host offers a seat, a meal, a place to stay. a host can also be a body another organism depends on. sometimes we invite what enters. sometimes we only notice once it has begun to change us.
this month, we’re sitting with host: hospitality and hunger, bodies and belonging, the things we welcome and the things that outstay their welcome.
what do you carry that has a life of its own? when does a guest become an inhabitant? does a host get to decide what stays? are our bodies a home, a host, or something we inhabit?
bring us a poem, a photograph, a drawing, a fragment, an experiment. there is no prescribed medium and no correct interpretation.
