The APPG on Rearmament is holding an inquiry into UK military capability.
We are working jointly with the Council on Geostrategy on this inquiry.
To inform this, we are collating written evidence from experts to gain an insight into the capability and readiness of each domain - air, land, sea, space, and cyber.
In October and November, we will hold weekly discussions in Parliament where a panel of experts will analyse each domain in detail.
In December, we will publish a report assessing the current state of our armed forces and our true military capability. This report will collate both the written and oral evidence collected over the summer and autumn.
The purpose of this survey is to collect written evidence from experts. You can also submit evidence to mike.martin.mp@parliament.uk if that is easier.
The survey consists of a short set of questions covering the strengths, limitations, and readiness of the UK's military capability.
The deadline for submissions is Wednesday 16th September 2026.
