Tom of Finland Foundation stands at the crossroads of Queer history, erotic art, and cultural preservation. Through our Artist-in-Residence Program, we invite artists into a space where risk, play, and imagination are protected and encouraged. We know choosing this path can be hard—often lonely, often brave—and we’re sincerely glad you’ve come here to share your voice.

How do you plan to specifically engage with/utilize the archives here at Tom of Finland Foundation? - 100 words max

The Foundation’s archives include original Tom of Finland artworks, personal papers, photographs, and holds one of the world’s most significant archives of Queer erotic art, including drawings, photographs, letters, and ephemera spanning decades of LGBTQ+ history. We encourage residents to consider how these collections may support research, spark creative projects, or inform new perspectives within queer art and culture.

Please submit work samples relevant to your practice/project proposal

- Video/sound works (2-3 examples) with 5 minutes maximum length each 
- Writing sample (500 words maximum length)
