Youth Unplugged Parent/Carer Workshop - Expression of Interest Survey

Ryde Public School and Ryde P&C are working together to address the often raised issue of screen time by engaging the support of Nick Kenny, a professional speaker and facilitator with over nine years of experience (https://nickdkenny.com/digitalwellbeing/), to provide students and their parents and carers with information and practical strategies to support healthy use of technology and screens.
Nick Kenny will speak to Year 5 and 6 students in a workshop from 2-3pm on Tuesday the 27th of October 2026.
A free Parent/Carer workshop is planned for Tuesday the 27th of October from 6 or 6:30pm to 8pm, on the same day as the student workshop, and will support parents and carers with children of all ages in developing practical strategies to minimise harm, reduce conflict and improve health and family connection.
If this is something you would be interested in attending, please let us know by filling in the survey below. The more families who can learn and share together, the greater the benefit for our school community as a whole!

Firstly, how confident do you feel supporting your child to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly?

Would you or someone in your household be interested in attending the free workshop?
