Destiny Homeschool Ministry Membership Request

Thank you for your interest in the Destiny Homeschool Ministry! This ministry was founded in 2021 after seeing the need in our church body to connect with like minded homeschoolers who believe it is their duty to train their children in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6) and have chosen homeschooling as a tool to fulfill that command. We adhere to the beliefs and statement of faith of Destiny Christian Church, and provide community, encouragement, and fellowship for homeschooling families. Homeschooling can be an amazing season but often times can be isolating if we let it.

The design of this ministry is to grow an intentional community of homeschooling families who are connected and involved. To that end, we request that all members commit to planning / scheduling at least one event throughout the year. No one homeschool parent can build community on their own, but an intentional group of homeschool parents can achieve community and prevent burnout when they all contribute their time, effort, and prayer.

Unless specified, Destiny Homeschool Ministry events are not "drop-off" events. It is expected that parents stay, participate, and monitor their child(ren).

Annual membership is $20 per family. All funds will go through Destiny Church and be used for parties, supplies, and the annual student Showcase and Promotion at the end of the school year.

The BAND App is utilized for the scheduling of all events, gatherings, and messaging. It is important that all members utilize BAND in order to fully participate in the group.

The following information will not be shared widely with the group or publicly; rather, with Destiny Homeschool Ministry leadership for the purposes of group management.
