We'll be taking over Strachan Linear Park on Saturday August 29 (rain date: Saturday September 19), with around 50 dog-friendly picnic spots that the public can book for free.
Our goal for the day? Turn the park into a lively village green where Hamilton residents, neighbours and their pups can connect, say hello, support local vendors and experience what dog-friendly community looks like.
Between our picnic spots, our strong Instagram communities, and marketing, we expect minimum 1500-2000 visitors throughout the day.
We have permits and space for maximum 5 food trucks/food vendors and maximum 4 dog-focused tent vendors . Our aim is to curate a delicious mix of food and drink, from savory delights to dessert (including plant based options), alongside treats and retail for pups.
Vendors who would like run services or activities for dogs and their humans are welcome too, from photographers to caricature artists to dog trainers. Let us know your ideas and let's chat!
