In 2023, Touchstream and the SVTA published the first Challenges of Streaming Operations survey. Three years on, multi-CDN is the default architecture, AI is being applied to operations, ad-supported models have matured, and cost pressure is shaping how organisations invest in monitoring. This 2026 edition builds on that foundation with new sections covering CDN monitoring complexity, the economics of QoE analytics, AI-assisted operations, low latency, and cost management.
