Eligibility

Due to funding restrictions, the ABCD ReproNim Hackathon welcomes applications from U.S. residents, including U.S. citizens and individuals holding B-1, B-2, J-1, or Visa Waiver (VWT/VWB) status.
Accepted participants will receive a $2,000 participation stipend. Individuals in any of the visa categories listed above should consult with their university advisor, department, or visa sponsor before applying to determine whether participation and receipt of the stipend are permitted under their institution’s policies and immigration requirements.
Because U.S. regulations may restrict payments to foreign nationals based on their immigration status and the nature of the payment, Florida International University (FIU) must verify eligibility before issuing any stipend to a participant who will be physically present in the United States.

In addition to any requirements established by the participant’s home institution, FIU Tax Compliance will require a completed Foreign National Information Form and copies of applicable documents to determine stipend eligibility, including:
PassportVisaI-94I-20, DS-2019, or I-797/Employment Authorization Card, as applicableSocial Security card and/or U.S. Tax Identification Number (TIN), if applicable

Please note: Submission of these documents does not guarantee stipend eligibility. FIU will make the final determination based on the participant’s immigration status and the applicable U.S. tax and immigration regulations.

The ABCD-ReproNim Hackathon is designed to promote collaborative analysis projects of ABCD data among small groups of attendees. Please describe the data analysis project you plan to pitch at the hackathon.

Note: It's okay if you only have a vague notion of a project at this point - we just want to get a sense of your general ideas and the types of data you would like to work with.
