Your news

Headline

The news in one line. This will likely become the episode title: "First Look: [your headline]"

What type of news is this?

What's the story?

200 words max. Don't overthink it - James will shape the conversation. We just need enough to assess whether it's a fit and to prepare good questions.

Why does this matter to our audience?

One or two sentences is fine. This helps us frame the episode well.

Supporting link

Link to a press release, blog post, announcement page, or any supporting material. If it’s embargoed, still add the link (even if broken) and let us know when the embargo lifts. (Optional)

Timing & logistics

First Look episodes are recorded in advance and released on the day that suits your announcement. We need to understand your timeline so we can plan the recording and production.

When is your news going public?

This is the date you'd ideally want the episode to go live.

Is this news currently under embargo?

We publish weekly. Submissions close on Tuesday midnight for inclusion in that week’s edition.

Recording availability

Note any availability for recording in the run-up to the release date. The more slots noted here, the more likely we are to find a time to record. Please note that we would like as long as possible between recording and release date, so lean on the side of earlier times rather than later. Two weeks before release is the idea recording date. One week is the minimum. Please use UK time zone for all times noted. We aim for a 1 hour recording slot for a 30min on-air time. We record remotely.
To optimise recording quality, we ask that you use an external microphone. If you don't own one, we suggest purchasing the Blue Yeti or Rode NT-USB+.
