Mission
Design and simulate the machines that build our buildings. First mission on the list: simulation and optimization of our robotized timber production cells, then the mechanical design of the tooling, fixtures and machine improvements that keep the line ahead of demand.
What you will do
• Simulate and optimize our robotic production cells: cycle times, reachability, collision, offline programming
• Design mechanical systems, tooling and fixtures for the production line (3D CAD, from concept to drawings)
• Validate designs through simulation before they hit the floor: virtual first, steel second
• Support commissioning and ramp-up of new cells and line extensions
• Work hand in hand with the Lead Manufacturing Systems on the automation roadmap; you are a core member of the Manufacturing Systems team
Who you are
• 8+ years across mechanical design and simulation engineering (either dominant, we care about the combination)
• Fluent in 3D CAD and simulation tools; robot simulation / OLP experience is a strong plus
• Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• English fluent
• You like machines you can walk up and touch: this is a factory-floor engineering role, not a remote one
Why LEKO
To meet humanity's housing needs, the world will have to build, every month for the next fifty years, the equivalent of the surface of New York, while radically decarbonizing buildings and adapting them to a changing climate. It is one of the great industrial equations of the century: build much more, with much less. Less carbon. Less material. Less time. It demands that we reinvent the way we build.
At LEKO Labs, that is what we do. We develop a new generation of building systems made of bio-based materials, digitally designed and manufactured by robots. They replace up to 75% of concrete, use up to 60% less wood than traditional mass-timber solutions, store carbon, and directly integrate the building's insulation.
Produced off-site in Luxembourg, our systems arrive on site ready to assemble. We are turning construction from a site-based process into an industrial one, without standardizing architecture.
Already deployed in Luxembourg, Belgium and France, LEKO is now entering its acceleration phase.
