TERMS OF USE & PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT
By completing this form and signing below, you agree to the following terms:
1. ABOUT THIS STUDY
AngelMe is conducting Phase 0 research to study peer-to-peer micro-funding behavior. This study does NOT involve collecting, processing, or transmitting payments on your behalf. Participation is completely voluntary. You may withdraw at any time by contacting us at emailangelme@gmail.com.
2. ELIGIBILITY & TRUTHFULNESS
- You must be 18 years of age or older, OR a minor with written parent/guardian consent
- All information you provide is true, accurate, and complete
- Your video describes a real, genuine need
- You will not include false, misleading, or illegal content
- **We reserve the right to verify your identity and reject applications that cannot be verified**
3. LICENSE TO USE YOUR VIDEO
You grant AngelMe a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, modify, and display your video in any format or medium for up to one (1) year from submission.
This includes permission to use your video for:
- Your personal campaign page on angelme.app
- Internal research and platform testing
- Marketing materials and social media (including promotional videos, ads, and compilations)
- Demonstration to investors and partners
- Fundraising for AngelMe's operations (PR, market awareness, grants, crowdfunding, investor pitches)
We may create edited versions or "supercut" videos that combine multiple participant videos to demonstrate the platform's impact. Your video may appear alongside other participants' videos in these compilations.
AngelMe does not own your video, nor will we intentionally share your image or likeness with AI without asking for your permission.
4. PAYMENT HANDLE & PEER-TO-PEER GIVING
By providing a payment handle, you confirm:
- You or your Parent/Guardian who signs below are the legal owner and authorized user of the Venmo/CashApp/Zelle account(s)
- The payment handle is active, valid, and in good standing
- You have not provided another person's payment information without their consent
- Any funds sent to this handle are rightfully yours to receive
IMPORTANT: AngelMe does NOT process, hold, transmit, or guarantee any payments. All giving is peer-to-peer between Angels and Askers via personal payment apps. AngelMe is a research platform only.
5. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Share your campaign URL on your social media and with your network
- Drive traffic to your campaign page
- Do not engage in fraud, harassment, spam, or manipulation
6. NO GUARANTEE OF FUNDING & CAMPAIGN LIMITS
There is NO guarantee you will receive any pledges or reach your stated need amount. Pledging is entirely voluntary and at the discretion of individual Angels.
**$200 Campaign Cap:** You agree not to solicit more than $200 total for your campaign. Since AngelMe does not process payments, we cannot monitor or enforce this cap. You are responsible for removing your campaign link once you reach $200 or after one (1) year, whichever comes first.
**One Campaign at a Time:** You may only have ONE active campaign at a time. Once your campaign closes, you may apply again for a new need.
7. TAX RESPONSIBILITY
You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes on funds you receive. AngelMe does not provide tax advice or documentation.
8. WITHDRAWAL & TERMINATION
You may withdraw from the study at any time by emailing emailangelme@gmail.com. However, videos that have already been published or shared may remain in use for the duration of the one (1) year license period. We cannot remove videos from third-party platforms or locations where they have been shared.
9. DATA PRIVACY
What We Collect: We collect your name, email, phone, need category, payment handle, video, and behavioral data (page views, clicks).
Data Security: We use industry-standard platforms including but not limited to Tally, Google Sheets, Carrd, etc. to store and process your data. However, no system is 100% secure.
By participating, you acknowledge that data breaches can occur and you assume this risk.
We are not responsible for unauthorized access to your data resulting from third-party platform breaches, hacking, or other security incidents beyond our control.
We will not sell your data to third-party brokers. You may request data deletion at any time by emailing
emailangelme@gmail.com.
10. GOVERNING LAW
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration.
11. SEVERABILITY
If any part of this agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining sections will continue to be valid and enforceable. The invalid portion will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving the original intent.
12. AMENDMENTS
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes may include, but are not limited to, extending the video license period beyond one (1) year or adjusting participation terms. If you withdraw early, any videos already published will remain subject to the original license terms. Continued participation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
