The purpose of this approximately 30-minute consultation is to review the information provided by the potential client, identify their Canadian immigration or citizenship goals, and discuss potentially relevant pathways, eligibility considerations, risks, information gaps and recommended next steps.
This consultation does not include preparation or filing of an application, representation before Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) or another authority, comprehensive review of supporting documents, or ongoing case management. Any additional professional services require a separate written Service Agreement.
The consultation fee is CAD $80 plus applicable GST/HST. The applicable tax and final amount payable are the amounts shown at the time of booking and payment.
If the potential client later enters into a separate Service Agreement with the RCIC for professional immigration or citizenship services, the CAD $80 consultation fee will be credited against the Professional Fee stated in that Service Agreement. This is a fee credit and is not a cash refund.
The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (the “College” or “CICC”) is the statutory regulator of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs). The College licenses and regulates RCICs, establishes professional and ethical requirements, maintains a public register and administers a complaints and discipline process. The College does not decide immigration applications and does not provide immigration advice to clients.
The potential client agrees to provide accurate and complete information for the consultation. Advice is based on the facts disclosed and on the laws, policies and program requirements in effect at the time of the consultation.
Information provided by the potential client will be protected in accordance with the RCIC’s professional obligations and applicable law. No particular invitation, approval, visa, work permit, permanent residence outcome or processing time is guaranteed.
The potential client consents to the reasonable use of electronic communications and electronic records for booking, consultation, delivery of the agreement and consultation follow-up. The RCIC will retain a copy of the signed consultation agreement and a copy will be provided to the client.
