☀️ Lighting: Photos taken near a window or outdoors in indirect sunlight works best. Avoid harsh camera flash or heavy overhead lighting -- gentle, natural shadows are great because they give the face depth.
📸 Framing: A clear head-and-shoulders shot taken from eye level. Make sure the head, hair and shoulders are fully in frame and not cut off.
🔎 Quality: Select an original photo directly from your camera roll rather than a screenshot or social media download. If you zoom in on the eyes and see crisp detail, it's perfect!
🌿 Background: Natural or simple backgrounds help keep the focus entirely on the portrait subject.
Don't have the "perfect" photo? Don't worry!: If the image is older, lower quality, or doesn't meet every single guideline above, please upload it anyway. I'm very experienced working with imperfect references and will review it to see if we can make it work! Feel free to upload a couple of secondary backup photos as well, or send me a quick DM on Instagram to double-check before ordering.)
