KAIRA is the new robotics club at KIT. We develop robots, organize events and bring students, founders, industry and research together around robotics. As a member, you'll help shape all of it from the beginning.
⏱ Takes about 20–30 minutes (can take longer if you pick multiple areas)
📅 Deadline: 09.11., 23:59. The earlier you apply, the earlier we review your application.
Motivated students who want to build advanced robots, and everything around them: software, hardware, events, partnerships and design. Membership means active, regular participation in person in Karlsruhe. In return you get a team of driven people, real projects and direct access to the robotics and startup ecosystem.
No. Robotics needs more than engineers, and we welcome applicants from every field. We're building an interdisciplinary initiative that doesn't just develop robots, but also runs events, grows a community and builds the network around them, and all of that needs driven people too.
We ask the following questions to build a team that truly works well together. There are no trick questions.
• Please answer in English.
• Be specific. Concrete examples beat buzzwords.
• Short answers and bullet points are fine, as long as they have substance (avoid AI slop).
• Many questions are optional. Answer the ones where you have something real to say.
Please reserve time for these in-person events:
• 11. - 14.11.: Interview period
• 16. - 20.11.: Onboarding week
