Join our Board of Directors

The CARFAC Ontario board of directors contributes oversight, strategic direction, and organizational governance in collaboration with other board members, and staff. Board directors are practising visual artists and members of CARFAC Ontario, with limited non-voting seats open for professionals in other fields.

Board members bring experience in various areas including nonprofit governance, artists’ legal and economic rights, financial management, communications, and administration. We are currently prioritizing applications from artists with skills, experience, active networks, and/or innovative approaches to:

- Government relations

- Labour organizing/Professional association leadership

- Policy development in the areas of artificial intelligence, income supports for artists (i.e. basic income guarantee)

- Legal services for artists/low-income individuals

- Arts-based advocacy and solidarity building

Knowledge and experience within Ontario's arts sector is an asset.
