Speaker Biography

Dr. Shaima AlQattan is a consultant physician in speech therapy with over 22 years of experience. She coordinates speech therapy services at Jaber Alahmad Hospital, Kuwait. Trained as a medical doctor at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, she earned her Masters and PhD in Speech Therapy from the University of Newcastle, UK.

Her work focuses on clinical services for children and adults, and her research in Arabic phonology includes publishing the largest Arabic language database.
