Nectar Festival Volunteer Application

Are you keen to help co-create The Vibe with us? We’re calling in passionate, reliable volunteers to support the magic behind the scenes!

At Nectar, we believe in creating a culture that feels alive, rooted, and blooming. Every volunteer helps the festival thrive. Whether you’re buzzing with good energy or grounded in practical execution, there’s a place for you! Volunteering at Nectar is an opportunity to plug into the pulse of the experience and contribute to something beautiful.

We recognize that financial barriers can limit participation, so we’ve designed our volunteer program to keep access as open as possible while still covering the needs of our second-year grassroots production.

Whether you're called to help with the build, showtime logistics, or the final tear down, we’re excited to build this with you! Thank you for applying to be part of the Nectar we all get to share!!

If you have any issues with this form or further questions, feel free to reach us at: volunteers@thenectarfestival.com

Here’s how it works

All volunteers are required to purchase a Volunteer Entry ticket at the reduced cost of $220 as a deposit prior to fulfilling your volunteer commitments.
There are two levels of Volunteers–Pollinators and Root Crew–based on time & energy commitment as detailed below.
Pollinators will be refunded $100 after completion of your final shift via e-transfer within a week after the event. Root Crew volunteers will be refunded their full $220 upon completion of their hours. Volunteers who complete their hours pre-show before the event begins will not have to pay the deposit with Pollinators receiving access to a $120 ticket and Root Crew to a fully comped ticket.

Tier 1: Pollinators (10+ Hours)🐝

Contribution:
Contribute 10 hours during the event or 16 hours pre- or post-event in exchange for a discounted ticket at $120.

Who you are:
You’re the vital force that keeps the festival buzzing. Like bees and butterflies in a blooming field, you make things happen - whether you’re assisting during the Build, checking in attendees, helping them park, or another aspect of supporting the experience.

What you bring:
- A commitment of at least 10 hours during the event or 16 hours pre- or post-event
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to follow through
- Your unique presence and positivity

Tier 2: Root Crew (20+ Hours)🌲

Contribution:
Contribute 20 hours during the event or 30 hours pre- or post-event in exchange for a fully comped ticket, though we still require a $220 deposit for these roles.

Who you are:
You keep it all grounded. For those interested in festival or event production, this is a great way to get your foot in the door with the Nectar crew! You’re the foundation under the flowers - the ones who put in the extra time, show up early, stay late, and hold it down behind the scenes. Like roots, your work may not always be seen - but everything depends on it.

When we come together, we build something bigger than ourselves!

What you bring:
- A commitment of 20+ hours during the event or 30 hours pre- or post-event
- Consistent reliability and responsibility
- Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and with compassion
- A desire to support others and grow the festival
