The Lecturer in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the Certificate in Data Science and AI programme. The post holder will contribute to all stages of the academic cycle, including curriculum delivery, student support, assessment, moderation, quality assurance, enhancement activities and academic administration.
The role requires expertise across data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, programming, statistics and computing, together with the ability to teach students from diverse international backgrounds. The Lecturer will act as a Personal Academic Tutor, provide academic guidance and contribute to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
The post holder will normally teach up to 18 contact hours per week and will contribute to curriculum enhancement, scholarly activity, student engagement initiatives and academic quality processes.
The role is particularly suited to individuals with experience of Transnational Education (TNE), international pathway programmes, collaborative partnerships and progression routes into UK and international universities.
The ideal candidate should be available during busy periods and weekends as required, particularly during student induction, assessment, moderation and progression periods. Annual leave may be restricted during peak operational periods.
