Tentative Itinerary – Karvaan Northern Escape

Day 0

09:30 PM – Gather at the meeting point

10:00 PM – Departure from Lahore and hit the M-2 Motorway

Day 1

02:30 AM – Stop near the Islamabad toll plaza or Swat Motorway entrance

07:30 AM – Exit Swat Motorway at Chakdara and get onto the N-45 highway

10:30 AM – Early lunch or brunch at Upper Dir for Chapli Kebabs

02:00 PM – Arrival in Thal, and park your primary vehicle

03:00 PM – Rent a 4x4 jeep from Thal and head directly into Kumrat Valley

05:00 PM – Arrive in Kumrat Valley and set up your campsite

08:00 PM – Dinner, rest, and overnight camping in pods or tents in Kumrat

Day 2

09:00 AM – Breakfast at your campsite in the valley

10:30 AM – Drive deeper into the valley to visit Kala Chashma (Black Spring)

01:00 PM – Riverside picnic or lunch near the Panjkora River

03:00 PM – Short hike to the majestic Kumrat Waterfall

07:00 PM – Set up a bonfire, relax under the stars, and enjoy a BBQ dinner

09:00 PM – Overnight camping in pods or tents

Day 3

07:00 AM – Return jeep ride to Thal, have a heavy breakfast, and grab trekking gear

10:00 AM – Hire a different jeep to Taki Top

12:30 PM – Start the hike from Taki Top to Jahaz Banda

04:00 PM – Arrival at the sprawling Jahaz Banda meadows

06:00 PM – Watch the sunset over the snow-capped peaks

08:00 PM – Dinner and overnight camping in tents or basic huts

Day 4

06:00 AM – Wake up at dawn and begin the trek to Katora Lake

09:00 AM – Arrive at the bowl-shaped glacial Katora Lake

10:30 AM – Descent to Jahaz Banda to pack up camp and have an early lunch

01:30 PM – Hike down the trail back to Taki Top

04:00 PM – Jeep ride back to Thal

07:00 PM – Optional drive to Upper Dir, followed by a hotel stay

Day 5

07:00 AM – Start the drive back to Lahore

12:00 PM – Get back onto the M-16 Swat Motorway

03:00 PM – Stop at the Bhera rest area for a late lunch

08:00 PM – Arrival back in Lahore
