Alarm Workshop

As part of my Master’s thesis in the User Experience Design programme at the University of Applied Sciences of Grisons (FHGR), I am investigating the design of alarm and warning interactions on patient monitors in intensive care and emergency medicine.

To bring together different perspectives and experiences, I am planning an interdisciplinary workshop with participants from the fields of clinical practice, research, development and design. Together, we aim to reflect on and discuss existing alarm systems.

Duration: approx. 90 - 120 minutes

Format: online / in person (depending on availability)

Dates: 1 – 19 June 2026

Language: German or English

Would you like to get involved and help me explore new perspectives and successfully complete my Master’s thesis?

If so, please fill in your details, select your preferred option (in person or online) and let me know when you’re available.

The information will be used solely for the purposes of my Master’s thesis and will not be disclosed to third parties. Workshop contributions will be analysed anonymously. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at daniela.spuehler@stud.fhgr.ch.
