The hiring process is extremely thorough. Teachers must have a native level of English as well as be certified in any courses they are applying to teach. Other factors will be taken into consideration, such as:
- prior experience teaching Qur'an (and preferably Arabic)
- general availability throughout the week and holiday periods
- time zones
- having a strong background in Islamic studies
- being grounded in Aqeedah and able to quote reliable and trustworthy scholars
You may apply to just be a Qur'an teacher and not teach any of the Arabic courses as they follow a different curriculum.
