Artist Installations & Site Deco Application — INIT 2026

Section 1 — Before You Apply

Elsewhere Springs sits 400 metres above sea level on Mt. Tuam — Douglas fir, arbutus, cedar, light that shifts through the trees in a way that does something to people. We believe the right art in a place like this doesn't decorate the experience. It deepens it.

We're looking for artists and makers who work site-responsively — installations, environmental decor, light work, sculptural pieces, anything that makes people slow down and pay attention. We can't fund materials or pay artist fees in 2026. Bring your own vision and your own resources. We'll give you the land, the light, and an audience that's genuinely present.

Compensation at a Glance

What you contribute
Installation, site decor, or visual art contribution
What you receive
1 general admission ticket + 1 guest pass
No cash payment or materials budget in 2026. INIT is in startup mode — we cannot fund materials or fabrication costs this year. Artists bring their own materials and vision. In exceptional cases where an artist is contributing something of significant scale or material value, compensation may be discussed with the Festival Director. (Lumber can be provided on a case by case basis).
