Camp Flame logo with subtitle Harrisonburg Unitarian Universalists

Welcome!

We're excited you've chosen Camp Flame, a program of Harrisonburg Unitarian Universalists, for your child's summer enrichment. Please use this form to register. We have a limited number of spaces, so if we are unable to accept your registration, we will notify you. For questions, please write to Kim Newton, Director of Children's Religious Exploration.
If we move to a waitlist, we will post that notice here and on our website. At this time, registration is open and there is no waitlist.

The Essentials:

Camp Flame is a summer day camp hosted by Harrisonburg Unitarian Universalists. Our mission is to ignite the spirits of our youth through a community of radical inclusion, joyful discovery, and the transformative power of love! At Camp Flame, we don’t just talk about our values—we live them.

Our name stands for the “sparks” that guide us:

Friendship and Generosity: We practice friendship by sharing our time and kindness.

Love at the Center: We create a safe, heart-led space for every camper.

Always Growing: We embrace transformation and learning from mistakes.

Many Paths: We celebrate the unique stories that make our community brighter.

Everything is Connected: We care for the Earth and each other as part of a sacred web.

Location: Harrisonburg Unitarian Universalists, 4101 Rawley Pike, Rockingham, VA

Dates: Monday, July 20 – Friday, July 24, 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Registration is open to children in rising Kindergarten-6th grade and are accepted on a rolling basis. Children must be able to toilet independently, follow instructions, and actively engage in our camp activities with standard supervision by adult leaders. We maintain supervision ratios set by the American Camp Association.
Families may register up to 4 campers at a time. This form will automatically calculate your total payment and provide payment options on the last page.
Two registration tiers are available: Standard ($220) and Sustaining ($295). Sustaining registrations support our growing program and ability to offer future financial assistance to other families. A non-refundable $50 deposit is required to reserve your camper's spot. The final payment deadline is June 30th. At this time payments are only accepted by check. We are working on an online option and will share that with parents when it is available.
lf paying by installments, you will be able to use the online link anytime until June 30 to make payments. Families who register before online payments are available can defer payment of their deposit until we're able to share the payment link. Thanks for your understanding!
We do not have an on-site nurse. We cannot dispense medication, but we can accept life-saving medication such as Epi-pens and inhalers, which campers must be able to self-administer. We will provide an Allergy Care Plan form as part of your registration packet.
Our facility offers indoor air conditioning, wheelchair accessible ramps, and accessible bathrooms. However, the path to our primary building is not wheelchair accessible. If your camper may require wheelchair accessibility, please contact us.

Parent Handbook

If your camper has a severe allergy, please also complete the Allergy Care Plan.
