OPEN CALL: Introducing Climate Storytelling in Visegrad (25 - 26 November 2026, Prague)

What stories do we tell in a changing climate? How can climate and nature become part of compelling films and series without necessarily becoming the whole story?

Join us in Prague for Introducing Climate Storytelling in V4, a two-day international training and networking programme bringing together 40 film and media students, professionals, educators and researchers from Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. The participants must be resident/based in V4 countries - Slovakia, Czechia, Poland or Hungary.

*We aim to create a diverse international group representing different levels of experience and backgrounds. RESULTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN EARLY NOVEMBER 2026.

Attendance on both days is prioritised for selection and compulsory for people wishing to apply for free accommodation.

(Two nights of accommodation will be covered for up to 30 eligible participants whose journey from their place of residence to Prague takes more than two hours. Eligible for participants based in Slovakia, Poland, Czechia and Hungary)

Program starts on Wednesday 25 November, approximately at 10 am CEST. We recommend participants travelling from other countries to arrive on Tuesday 24 November.

The program includes a mentorship clinic with experts, which focuses exclusively on audiovisual projects at an outline or treatment stage (scripts will not be considered). Do you have a project you wish to consult and receive mentoring on?

If you have an existing audiovisual project you want to consult on and develop, write the logline here - participants can develop their projects with support from our experts and through peer group discussions.
