Festival ADAR 2026

Festival ADAR is pleased to announce its 2026 Composer-in-Residence program, taking place in rural Asturias, Spain. The residency offers a flexible format - in-person, hybrid, or virtual - and culminates in a featured performance during the festival (August 3–26, 2026). Composers may develop a new work or present existing repertoire in collaboration with the festival ensemble. In-person residencies include accommodation, meals, and up to 800 euros in travel support.

Please also explain why this format interests you and how you envision the collaboration. We are open to different approaches and encourage you to describe the type of artistic exchange, research, or creative process you would like to develop during the residency.

3. Work Samples

Select two representative pieces from your body of work that best reflect your artistic voice and compositional approach. Include a complete score (PDF) and an audio recording for each work. MIDI realizations are acceptable, but audio recordings are preferred.

4. Admin fee

As a small independent festival, this fee helps us cover the basic costs of reviewing applications and allows us to dedicate appropriate time and attention to each composer and proposal. If this fee presents a difficulty, applicants are welcome to contact us to request a waiver and explain their situation, and we will be happy to consider it.
