As a founding team member, you will define how mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems come together, make key hardware design decisions, and take compact, precise, and reliable systems from concept through real-world deployment.
Design and build mechanical assemblies, including mechanisms, actuator integration, and sensor mounting for robotics gripper applications.
Develop compact PCBs, wiring assemblies, and embedded firmware for actuation, sensing, power distribution, and communication.
Establish calibration and testing methods to validate precision, repeatability, and durability.
Define hardware-software interfaces with the software team and drive system integration and troubleshooting.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD and electrical design, with experience owning design decisions and integrating both into working electromechanical systems.
* Hands-on experience developing embedded firmware for microcontrollers such as STM32 and integrating communication interfaces such as CAN, RS-485, EtherCAT, or SPI.
* Ability to turn open-ended requirements into designs, build and test prototypes, and diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, and software boundaries.
* Experience with precision robotics or laboratory automation.
* Experience in designing robotics grippers and / or dextrous hands.
* Experience in tactile sensing integration.
