Behavioural problems may arise directly or indirectly because of concurrent or previous medical conditions. Veterinary involvement is essential in excluding physical disease and guiding appropriate diagnostic and treatment pathways. To safeguard the welfare of the patient and confirm approval of referral, please complete the form below.

Please note that the referring veterinary surgeon remains responsible for the patient's ongoing routine clinical care, advice, and any medications they prescribe. Physical examination of the animal remains the responsibility of the referring veterinary surgeon and must be carried out in accordance with RCVS guidelines. This is a behavioural advice service, and recommendations will be made for the referring veterinary surgeon to dispense medications and carry out investigations for the patient. Owners must be advised to continue to contact the veterinary practice an animal is registered with for their ongoing veterinary care and in case of emergencies.
