I hope this becomes a delicious and fun way for you to join our mission to spread a little joy and refreshment early. Throughout the summer, I’ll be delivering free samples of Joya around St. Pete in exchange for your feedback.

My goal over the next few months is to PERFECT each of our core flavors. That means what you receive will always be tasty, but may not always be the final version that eventually makes it onto the permanent menu.

Italian ice is NOT ice cream, gelato, a slushy, granita, or sorbet. And because I’m working with fresh, whole ingredients instead of flavored syrups, developing each flavor takes a little more experimentation and refinement behind the scenes.

Things like:
• churning time
• sugar ratios
• texture
• flavor boldness
• scoopability
• melt

…all need to be tested and adjusted in an iterative process.

Your feedback is genuinely a huge part of that process, and I’m excited to share what’s been living in my head (and freezer) before Joya is officially launch-ready.
