Global Call to Prevent Youth Suicide

Youth, Families, and Communities Urge the United Nations to Act

The Children’s Hospital Association, Speak Our Minds, Children’s Healthcare Canada, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and partners are building a global movement to elevate youth suicide prevention as a child health, youth development, and human rights priority. The campaign supports the Global Preventing Youth Suicide Initiative and seeks signatures from youth, families, professionals, advocates, and organizations calling for stronger global action.

Yes, I Support the Global Call to Prevent Youth Suicide

I support the efforts of The Children’s Hospital Association, Speak Our Minds, Children’s Healthcare Canada, U.K. Children’s Hospital Alliance, and partners to strengthen youth suicide prevention worldwide and urge the United Nations, national governments, health systems, and community leaders to support and elevate this network’s effort to develop and implement evidence-informed pediatric specific suicide prevention strategies that include youth and parent/caregiver voices.

Sign-On Statement

By signing below, I join individuals and organizations around the world in calling for stronger action to prevent youth suicide.

I believe every child and young person deserves timely access to mental health support and suicide prevention services. I support evidence-informed approaches that improve early identification, intervention, treatment, and recovery. I believe youth and parent/caregiver voices should be included in the design, implementation, and evaluation of mental health systems and policies.

I urge international organizations, governments, health systems, schools, community organizations, and philanthropic partners to work together to advance practical solutions that help young people thrive and prevent suicide.
