2. How would you describe your level of proficiency in French?
*
3. What would you like to have accomplished by the end of our time together?
*
I managed my first (discovery/sales/meeting) call with a French-speaking potential direct client
I can now draft and send cold/warm outreach (emails, LinkedIn messages) to French-speaking companies
I have a website, LinkedIn profile, or marketing copy that sounds natural in French
I attended a client-side conference and networked live in French
I gave a speech or presentation in French as a guest speaker or appeared as a panelist or podcast guest
I can now comment publicly on social media posts of French-speaking prospective direct clients to build visibility
I can navigate cultural registers (e.g., when to use "tu" vs. "vous" or choose the right tone)
I can navigate regional language differences (e.g., European French vs. Québécois audience tailoring)
I eliminated subconscious language interference and non-idiomatic phrasing (the "I understand you, but a native speaker wouldn't say it like that" patterns)
My live verbal delivery (prosody, pace, joke landing, and speaking with confidence under pressure) has greatly improved and I sound like myself in French.

4. Which of these best describes your current roadblock with French and direct marketing?
*
I can write well enough, but I avoid live discovery calls or Zoom meetings because I’m scared of freezing up, not being understood because of my accent, or losing my fluency on the spot.
Writing to clients takes me far too long, I rely heavily on AI tools to fix my text or I lack confidence in my written business French.
My French is grammatically correct, but it feels stiff and scripted ("you sound like a book"). I struggle with natural banter and conversational small talk, making it hard to build personal rapport with clients.
I am unsure about regional vocabulary differences (like European vs. Québécois French) or cultural nuances, and I’m afraid of using the wrong business register or making a faux pas.
I feel confident when I speak or write, but I would like a second pair of eyes and ears to point out my blind spots to make sure my marketing outreach is solid.
I actually feel quite confident in my language skills, I just need help reviewing my marketing strategy and content and accountability to launch it with a native speaker who also gets the business side of things.
