Every DearTales story is individually designed, written and personally overseen by a real person using specialist AI production tools. No two stories are ever the same. Delivery is within 5 to 7 days of receiving your order and photos.

Please upload one clear, well-lit portrait of your child's face. A neutral expression gives the best character likeness. The photo should be front-facing and show the full face clearly. Avoid sunglasses, hats or heavy shadows. You can also email your photo to hello@deartales.co.uk after submitting if you prefer. Your photo will be permanently deleted from our files once your video has been delivered.

Their Special Companion's Name and Description: Tell us about your child's special companion. This could be a pet, favourite toy, stuffed animal or even a magical creature like a dragon or unicorn. Please include their name and what they look like. For example: Biscuit, a scruffy golden dog with floppy ears. Or Teddy, a brown stuffed bear with a blue bow. If your child loves a well-known character like Elsa or Spider-Man, we'll design them a brand-new companion all their own, inspired by that same magic, so your child's story stays completely one of a kind. If you'd like, tell us a name you'd love for their new companion, or leave it to us and we'll give them the perfect one.

Upload a Photo of Your Child's Companion (Optional): If your child's companion is a real pet or a specific toy, uploading a photo helps us capture their likeness accurately. One clear photo is enough. For example, see how Romeo the cat became a DearTales character below.

Birthday Message Name: If you are ordering a Birthday Story Video, please enter the name you would like in the Happy Birthday message exactly as you want it to appear. For example: Lily, or Little Star, or My Darling Sofia. Leave blank if this is not a birthday order.

Anything Else We Should Know? Tell us anything that makes your child unique. Their personality, favourite things, funny habits, special phrases they use, or anything you would like woven into their story. The more you share the more personal we can make it. There are no wrong answers here.
