BTL Business Development Executive Application

Location: Westlands Business Park, Westlands

Start Date: Immediate

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Full-time

Reports to: Operations Manager

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Developer with extensive experience in Below-The-Line (BTL) marketing to join their team. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic BTL campaigns across multiple industries.

Compensation Structure

•  Base Pay + commission structure: 8-10% on closed deals

•  Industry-agnostic opportunities across sectors


Professional Experience

Minimum 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management with a marketing agency, event company, or advertising firm

•   Proven track record in winning new BTL projects, including brand activations, roadshows, in-store promotions, product sampling, experiential campaigns, and field marketing initiatives

•   Demonstrated ability to manage projects end-to-end, from pitch to execution

•    Experience working with high-profile stakeholders across multiple industries (FMCG, retail, technology, automotive, hospitality, etc.)

BTL Marketing Expertise

•   Brand activations and product launches

•   Experiential marketing and consumer engagement campaigns

•   Trade marketing and channel activations

•   Field promotions and roadshow management

•   Event management and live experiences

•   Merchandising and point-of-sale (POS) promotions

Business Development Skills

•   Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close high-value deals

•   Excellent presentation skills and compelling proposal writing capabilities

•   Strategic thinking with a consultative approach to client solutions

•   Proficiency in CRM systems and sales pipeline management

•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

•   Identify and target potential clients across diverse industries requiring BTL marketing services

•   Generate qualified leads through strategic networking, industry events, referrals, cold outreach, and online research

•   Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and opportunities using CRM tools

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Building

•   Initiate contact with prospective clients, conduct needs assessments, and deliver compelling pitches for BTL services

•   Develop and present customised activation strategies and campaign proposals tailored to client objectives

•   Build and nurture long-term partnerships with key decision-makers to drive repeat business and upselling opportunities

•   Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales cycle

3. Project Handoff & Coordination

•   Facilitate seamless transition of closed deals to internal execution teams (creative, production, logistics)

•   Provide detailed client briefs and campaign requirements to ensure alignment with client expectations

•   Monitor project delivery timelines and quality standards to ensure client satisfaction

•   Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to address concerns and maintain project momentum

4. Brand Representation & Market Positioning

•   Represent the agency at networking events, trade shows, industry conferences, and client meetings

•   Position the company as an industry leader in innovative and impactful BTL campaigns

•   Contribute to marketing initiatives, case studies, and thought leadership content

•   Stay informed about industry best practices, competitive landscape, and emerging BTL trends
