Also known as Large Project Club/Blanket Club! The Creature Compendium is a Yarn club that will bring you yarn focusing on all manner of Mysterious, Magical, Mystical and Mythological creatures. Each month will feature a different creature on yarn, and a clue for the creature inside for you to guess. These aren't the kind of creatures that one would see in the wild, a creature compendium of cryptids if you will... If you'd like to check out some of the colours from the previous years, head over to https://www.thirdvaultyarns.com/bestiary.html We'll be learning about creatures across the world creating a complimentary collection of colourways. Each month's colourway will share at least one colour of the previous month, encouraging them to flow into each other as well as leveraging a dye style that encourages colour flow and minimises pooling. We'll be exploring creatures from countries and their folklore, mythos and cryptids to bring you an updated compendium of creatures. We may also stray into the fictional for some months with creatures from our favourite fantasy books, anime and tv for some wildcard colourways, though no more than once a quarter (these may not feature the same dyeing style) Dye Style Examples : Crown of Flame Storm's eye It's the Eyes This club acts like a large project and/ or blanket club allowing you to spread the cost of the yarn for your project over time. So you can make jumpers, multi skein shawls, blankets and more. Sign ups are a subscription via stripe, so you will be emailed a link to set up your subscription in January. From then on you will be charged on the same date of the month based on the frequency you have selected for invoicing. You will also receive a link to manage your subscription, so that you can make adjustments as needed for length of your subscription. You can choose between a variety of our bases and weights. You'll either be able to pay Quarterly or Monthly to spread the cost. Each month you will receive your requested skeins for that month at the end of the month or start of the next. Choose between 1-3 skeins in any of our bases per month to make the project you want! (If you would like more than 3 skeins per month please leave a note, you will receive the sweater quantity discount for 4+), 100g skeins are priced from £20 + depending on base. Project Suggestions & Yarn Quantities For Jumpers 1-3 + skeins are recommend per month depending on your sizing and how many colourways you'd like in your jumper/s. Blankets are typically 1 skein per month over 12 months for a traditional blanket club. Multi skein shawls tend to fall in the 3-6 skein range, so 1-2 per month for 3 or 6 months. There is now also a 20g and 50g skein option for the club as well, as a more affordable option. These can be used in shawl projects for multi colourwork garments, for blankets or more. You can also join the club Facebook group for pattern suggestions, chat around sizing for jumpers and more. https://www.facebook.com/groups/483288699044243/

Postage is charged as part of your subscription per month, at cost. I.e for the Uk this will be £3.85 per month, £11.55 per quarter, whilst postage costs do change over the course of the year I would like to keep them the same for you, and will strive to do so unless postage goes up exponentially. However it will still remain at cost. Sign ups before the 20th of a month will ensure you receive the colourway for the current month and beyond for your subscription length.(You will not receive any of the colours dyed previously to the month you signed up). . . . . You can select to receive a copy of your signup to your email, so that you are able to review your choices and the information you have provided. * This will include the base of your choosing and a nylon incorporating mini, for standard 4plys this would be Librarian sock mini, for standard Dk's this would be Hardy Dk. Or if the main base you have chosen is already a nylon containing yarn then you will receive the mini in the same base. Likewise for luxury yarns and yarns thicker than DK you would receive a mini of the same base.

New non sw for this year as Blue Dk is no longer available - Cormo is a Corriedale Merino Crossbreed Sheep that produces a reasonably soft and very bouncy wool, this base is very similar to cormo silk without the added sheen of the silk. It has a lovely handle and works up well, perfect for warm garments. Sits between the falklands merino and the Appledore in terms of rusticness but is much closer to the merino and is similar to Blue dk. the Cormo sport is a white base and the cormo grey is a grey base that will give more depth to colours when dyed.
