About the Project

Hi! My name is Ash Lazarus Orr (he/him), and I'm a trans writer building a long-term storytelling project exploring trans lives, identity, belonging, and community across borders.

Through travel, interviews, photography, and writing, I'm interested in learning how trans people build lives for themselves in different places and cultures around the world. I'm also interested in speaking with immigrants, migrants, and others whose experiences have been shaped by moving between countries, cultures, or communities.

At this stage, I'm simply looking to connect with people who may be interested in sharing their experiences. If it seems like there may be a good fit, I'll reach out via email within 1–2 weeks (5 to 10 business days) to schedule an introductory Zoom conversation so we can get to know each other, discuss the project in more detail, and talk about next steps.

Privacy & Consent

Filling out this form does not commit you to participating in this project. It simply gives us a way to connect and determine whether the project feels like a good fit.

You are welcome to use a pseudonym, nickname, or initials when completing this form. Nothing you share will be published, quoted, photographed, recorded, or otherwise used publicly without your knowledge and explicit consent.

Information submitted through this form will only be used to evaluate potential participation in the project and to contact you about next steps. If we do not move forward with an interview or collaboration, your submission and contact information will be deleted and will not be retained for future use unless you specifically request otherwise.

Please note that the travel and in-person interview portion of this project may take several months to coordinate depending on location, logistics, scheduling, and funding. Completing this form does not guarantee participation, but I deeply appreciate your interest and trust.
