Join us this Independence Day for the Class of 1776: Race to Freedom 5K on July 4th at Chaparral Park in Lovington during the Chamber’s Party in the Park!

Whether you run, jog, or walk, come celebrate freedom, community, and local impact while supporting the United Way of Lea County Annual Campaign, helping fund programs and services that support individuals and families across Lea County.

Waiver of Liability, Release & Consent

I understand that my registration and participation in the Class of 1776: Race to Freedom 5K is completely voluntary and involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, falls, contact with other participants, weather-related conditions, traffic, park conditions, property damage, or, in rare circumstances, death.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in this event, I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any and all risks, injuries, damages, losses, or expenses that may arise from my participation, whether caused by my own actions, the actions of others, event conditions, or otherwise.

I hereby waive, release, discharge, and hold harmless United Way of Lea County, the Lovington Chamber of Commerce, the City of Lovington, Chaparral Park, all event sponsors, volunteers, vendors, organizers, staff, partnering organizations, affiliates, employees, representatives, agents, and any other individuals or entities involved in the planning, organization, or execution of this event from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, or expenses of any kind, including claims arising out of negligence, resulting from or related to my participation in this event or presence on the event premises.

I acknowledge that I am physically capable of participating in this event and understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a medical professional if I have any concerns regarding my health or ability to participate.

I grant permission to United Way of Lea County, the Lovington Chamber of Commerce, the City of Lovington, and event partners to photograph, video record, or otherwise capture my likeness during the event and to use such images, videos, or recordings for promotional, marketing, educational, or informational purposes in print, digital, website, or social media platforms without compensation or further approval.

If participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign below.
