By registering for and participating in the Dill Dash 5K Walk/Run at Del Norte Park, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and voluntarily agree to the following:
I understand that participation in a 5K walk/run involves physical activity and carries inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, weather-related conditions, dehydration, overexertion, uneven surfaces, traffic, and other unforeseen hazards.
I certify that I am physically able to participate in this event and that I am responsible for determining whether I am medically and physically fit to do so.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Dill Dash 5K Walk/Run, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless United Way of Lea County, its staff, board members, volunteers, sponsors, event partners, the City of Hobbs, Del Norte Park, and any other individuals or organizations associated with the event from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, losses, or expenses arising from or related to my participation, except where prohibited by law.
I agree to follow all event rules, directions, and safety instructions provided by event organizers, volunteers, law enforcement, or other event personnel.
I understand that emergency medical treatment may be provided if deemed necessary and that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of my participation.
I understand that my registration fee is a donation-based event fee benefiting the United Way of Lea County Annual Campaign and is non-refundable unless otherwise determined by the event organizer.
I grant permission for photographs, videos, and other media taken during the Dill Dash 5K Walk/Run to be used by United Way of Lea County for promotional, educational, fundraising, and social media purposes without compensation.
By registering, I confirm that I have read this waiver, understand its contents, and voluntarily agree to its terms.
