The Thayer Group Scholarship Application (2025-2026 Cycle)

The Thayer Group Scholarship supports graduating seniors of Castle View High School who demonstrate work ethic, academic commitment, and an appreciation for small business and entrepreneurship. In partnership with our preferred lender, Vlad Bogomolov at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, this year we will be awarding a $2,500 scholarship, which may be used at any accredited post-secondary program of your choice, including:

- Four-year university

- Community college

- Technical or vocational school

- Trade school

The deadline to apply is April 15, 2026 at 11:59PM!

Qualifications

Applicants must:

1. Have attended Castle View High School for their complete Junior and Senior years

2. Have worked at a local business during High School for a minimum of 90 consecutive days

3. Intend to attend post-secondary education in the year immediately following graduation

4. Graduate with a cumulative weighted GPA of 2.75 or higher

5. Have an acceptable attendance record

How to Apply

1. Review the application requirements above to ensure eligibility

2. Complete the two required essay prompts (250-500 words each)

- Letter of Introduction: Please include your accomplishments to date, your family background, the schools you are applying to, the degree you are seeking, and your financial need (if any). Please provide a brief summary of how you plan to use the scholarship funding, if selected.

- Essay: Why do you feel small businesses are an important part of a community? Feel free to include personal experience and real-world examples.
